Rad is a cultural strategist, conflict and labor mediator, advisor and next world builder with a specialty in community connection and education. They have created long and short term projects, partnerships and initiatives with community groups, arts institutions, educational institutions and arts organizations. They develop frameworks based in equitable models of collaboration and train people to work in deep democracy. They create educational and mentorship opportunities for T2GNC youth and Indigenous communities at cultural institutions. They are a bridge between grassroots groups and institutions seeking to transform and redistribute power and resources. They lead creative workshops and ideation processes that center and uplift marginalized voices.
They serve on the shared leadership team Network of Ensemble Theatres guiding a multi year research project on federation building through solidarity economy. They currently serve as the Director of Engagement and Impact at NY Stage & Film. They are the community advocate at Ensemble Studio Theater. They sit as secretary on the board of Superhero Clubhouse.
As a cultural organizer and facilitator, Rad has collaborated with the Disney Theatrical Group, United Nations, Queens Museum, Rio de Janeiro Museum, Instituto Republica, MOCA, SITI Company Thought Center, A Blade of Grass, SUPERBLUE, Broadway Advocacy Coalition, Deaf West Theater, Creative Wildfire Coalition (Movement Generation, New Economy Coalition, Climate Advocacy Network, Art.Coop), Ensemble Studio Theater, The 8th Floor, Working Woman of Color Conference, Dance/NYC Symposium, and Culture/Shift. I have taught performance classes and workshops at Pace University, Interlochen Arts Academy, NET, Americans for the Arts and The Door.
